Two new modules allow the Modular Controller to solve critical tank level monitoring applications. The CSINV8L and CSINI8L accept eight voltage or current signals respectively, just like their namesakes, the CSINV8 and CSINI8. The difference lies in the fact that each channel provides up to 100 points of scaling for non-linear signals. This allows the Modular Controller to accurately monitor the contents of horizontal, or odd-shaped vessels, where the volume isn’t linear with respect to level.

Performing the linearization within the modules removes the burden of processing lookup tables centrally in both PC and PLC based applications, greatly simplifying the installation. The Modular Controller’s built-in PLC and Ethernet protocols makes integrating the scaled level data a snap.
