Red Lion's G3 family of operator panels now supports outgoing email, allowing notification messages to be sent to pagers, cell phones or other mail-enabled devices whenever a process parameter exceeds predefined limits. This new functionality makes it easy for maintenance personnel to stay in touch with plant operation wherever their duties might take them. "The G3 already provides more communications options than any other device in its class," says HMI Product Manager Jesse Benefiel, "and the new email facility continues to extend our lead."
