Red Lion has expanded the capabilities of the Modular Controller Series with the release of the Enhanced Master (model CSMSTRSX). In addition to all of the features found on the standard master controller, the Enhanced Master controller has a full-featured web server that allows remote system monitoring and control using a "virtual HMI" interface. This interface is accessible from anywhere in the world via standard web browser.

The data logging facility allows variables to be collected and stored along with a time and date stamp for later review of the process. Files are stored on CompactFlash in common CSV file format, allowing readily-available programs such as Microsoft Excel to access them.

Other features of the new Enhanced Master controller include two RS-232 and one RS-422/485 communications ports, a USB port for downloading the unit's configuration from a PC, a 10 Base-T/100 Base-TX Ethernet port, and an expansion slot for more complex applications.
