Native tag support for Allen Bradley PLCs!
Communicating with Allen Bradley’s Logix series PLCs has been made even easier with the addition of native tag support within Crimson 2.0. The exchange of data can be achieved without the need for tag “aliasing”, thereby reducing programming time. Both the serial and Ethernet versions are supported.
The target PLC’s tags are simply exported as a CSV file from Allen Bradley’s RSLogix 5000 software, and then imported into Crimson 2.0. A simple click of a button automatically creates matching tags within Crimson.
A tool is also provided to create PLC tags within Crimson, thus avoiding the import process for the addition of other PLC tags. This new driver is available for all Red Lion Controls G3 HMIs, Modular Controller and Data Station Plus series products.
With the powerful protocol conversion facility embedded in all G3 operator interfaces, Data Station Plus and Modular Controller (Enhanced Master) products, combined with the standard offering of three serial ports and a multiple-protocol Ethernet port, users can realize complete system integration and data transfer with other PLC, drives or other hardware.
