The Modular Controller series supports ramp/soak control for its CSPID modules. Using the latest update of Red Lion’s programming software Crimson 2.0 (build 383 or above), users can integrate multi-segment profile for complex processes requiring accurate setpoint and time control.

Ramp/soak control is handled within each CSPID module, keeping each loop independent and providing hot swap capability. A profile is a succession of setpoint ramp and soak periods. Each profile can support up to 30 segments with each segment defined by a setpoint and a time. Advanced modes are available to answer critical control issues such as profile hold and start point adjustment.

Drag-n-drop assignment allows the profile to be controlled via any external device or directly by the Enhanced Master. This adds even more flexibility to what is already the easiest PID and data-acquisition product on the market.

With the Modular Controller’s built-in PLC and Ethernet protocols, it takes only minutes to configure even the largest, most complex PID, data-acquisition, or I/O systems.
