A new video presentation is now available demonstrating how to convert a database written for one type of Red Lion interface product to another using Crimson 3's built in database conversion utility. This allows upgrading of an existing application that utilizes a Data Station Plus, a G3 operator interface, or a Modular Controller, to a different one of those products without having to re-write the database for the new device.

The video gives step by step instructions on how to use the Crimson 3.0 database conversion utility. This utility will automatically assign communication devices, map data tags, convert display pages, enable the web server, and setup data logging for the new target device using the original programmed information. This feature makes it possible to easily add an operator display or some type of I/O to an exisiting application without having to create a brand new database.
