Red Lion announces the release of a range of panel-mounted connectors which allow remote access to communications ports, even in harsh environments. These connectors provide access to automation equipment without requiring the technician to open an enclosure. The ability to access the Ethernet and USB ports of devices from outside the enclosure prevents damage to equipment in wet and dirty environments, while protecting technicians from hazardous voltages.

The series allows panel builders to expose any device’s Ethernet or USB ports, but is particularly useful for providing convenient access to the ports of Red Lion’s G3 Series HMI, Data Station and Modular Controller products. The backside of the series use standard connectors as well, allowing simple patch cables to complete the connection within the enclosure.

Models are available for Ethernet, as well as USB type A & B connections. The tethered sealing cap provides protection from dust and water ingress to IP68 standards.
