:: RoHS - WEEE Conformity Statement ::
Red Lion's policy regarding RoHS compliance.
Red Lion president Mike Granby has issued the following statement on RoHS compliance…
“It has always been the intention of Red Lion Controls to comply with the European Community directive 2002/95/EC in respect of the restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, despite the fact that, from its inception, this directive contained a specific exemption for monitoring and control instruments. While we are thus not required to comply with the 1st July 2006 deadline that applies to non-exempt products, it is Red Lion’s position that the elimination of hazardous substances is beneficial to our customers, to our employees, and to the environment. We thus remain committed to complying with the RoHS directive at the earliest date possible, and we shall continue to post updates on our website as individual products become RoHS-compliant.”

WEEE Symbol on Red Lion Products
On 27th January 2003, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union authorized Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). This directive encourages and sets specific criteria for the collection, handling and recycling of electric and electronic waste. It also sets requirements for the amount of WEEE collection (separate from households), it holds resellers accountable for providing WEEE returns free of charge, and requires collected WEEE to be treated. The details of these requirements are pending final implementation within the various EU member states.

The requirement to mark equipment with the WEEE symbol (the crossed-out wheeled bin) went into effect as of August 13, 2005. Therefore, as of this date, Red Lion Controls began marking all products that meet the scope of the directive with the WEEE symbol, as shown above.
